Car Accident

Yesterday James was a passenger in a car that had a roll-over accident. His friend, Derrik, was taking James and four other boys to Derrik's house to wrestle. (One of the boys was Derrik's brother, Devan, who is James' friend that went to French Creek this past summer with James.) They were traveling on a dirt road that had just been graded. When dirt roads get graded, new dirt and stones are put down, making the road a bit more hazardous than usual. It was also a rainy day. Anyway, Derrik lost control of the car on an "S" curve. The car went down an embankment and into a swampy area. It landed on it's roof. James and Derrik were able to get their seat belts off after a couple of minutes. They had to climb into the back and open one of the back doors. Derrik got out first and helped the other boys out. James was last to get out of the car. Believe it or not, not one of the boys were seriously injured. The only injuries came after the accident when Derrik and James were trying to get the door open. Derrik has a scraped elbow, and James had a tiny cut on the palm of his hand.
