Williams' Update

My Eight-Point Buck

First, gun deer hunting season in Michigan starts on November 15th and ends on the 30th. On November 19th, I was driving bus #6 for Addison Community Schools, when an eight-point buck ran right into my bus. He broke the window on the door, dented in the front fender, and broke the lights in the front of the bus by the bumper. I called the bus garage and reported the accident, then I tried to call Chuck, his brother Dane, and Chuck's dad so one of them could come and get my prize. No one answered their cell phones, so one of the other bus drivers called her brother and he came and got the deer. He took the deer to get it processed, and when he got it back, he gave me the antlers, some deer jerky (which I sent to Nick in Iraq), and some summer sausage. Pretty cool, huh?!

Kyle's Attempt at Deer Hunting

Okay, Kyle came home for the holidays. He flew from San Diego, CA to Detroit on December 21st. We had a nice weekend visit. Then on Christmas Day evening, as Kyle was driving to his friend's house, he had a run-in with a doe. These pictures show the result. Needless to say, my Rendezvous is in the shop!

The Williams Children minus Tim, Jill & Nick

Kyle, Michael, James & Pudge

Here are the pictures my kids posed for while they were out back with their dad burning some brush. Aren't they all so cute?!

On Friday, the 28th of December we will be heading out to Pennsylvania. We're driving to Charley & Margie's in Wind Gap to welcome in the New Year. Kyle is leaving for Iraq in the beginning of March, so this will be the last time he sees any of my side of the family before he leaves. He'll be gone for approximately six months. So we're hoping to see more than just the DeBoer's for the New Year's holiday (hint! hint!).
