Home From Iraq

Nick is home from Iraq. After spending one whole year on foreign soil, he's back in the States. He left Iraq on Thursday, January 17th along with 300 other Marines. They flew to Kuwait, then to Ireland, then to Hungary, then to Canada, then finally to Cherry Point, NC. From there the Marines boarded busses and arrived at Camp Lejeune about 11:00 a.m. today, Tuesday, January 22nd.

These trucks were carrying all of the "luggage."

Here come the busses!!!

Hillsdale OPC

Today, January 13, 2008, Michael & James made their Public Profession of Faith and became the first members of Hillsdale OPC via Public Profession of Faith. Chuck and I also became members by letter of transfer from the CRC church we attended in Jackson, MI. Three other families joined church tonite via letter of transfer. We also had a baptism, so it was a busy nite at our church.

We have lived in Michigan since 1983 and transferred our membership from the OPC in Glenside, PA to the Jackson Christian Reformed Church in Jackson, MI. In 1996, we started attending Demmings Lake Reformed Baptist Church in Clayton, MI. That church moved to Adrian, MI and became the Reformed Baptist Church of Lenawee. We still attend there on Sunday mornings because our new church doesn't have a.m. services yet.

This was such a special day for us because we have been waiting all of these years for an OPC work to start in our area. Now we just have to find a pastor!
